Where are the yachts for day charter located in the Balearic Islands?
In Mallorca, we offer day charter yachts from Palma de Mallorca, Port Calanova, Puerto Portals, our home port Port Adriano, and Port d'Andratx. On the sister island of Ibiza, the yachts are primarily offered from Ibiza Town.
How do you choose the perfect day charter yacht?
Finding the perfect day charter yacht with crew for your group depends primarily on your preferences regarding design, watersports equipment, and service, as well as your budget. The number of guests also plays a crucial role, as charter yachts in the Balearic Islands are generally licensed for 9 to 12 guests. We would be happy to advise you. Simply tell us your criteria, and we will gladly suggest yachts that meet your requirements.
How do you choose the route?
We have prepared some suggested itineraries for your day charter in Mallorca, which you can find hereSome destinations can be perfectly combined with a lunch at a restaurant or beach club, while others, like Cabrera and Es Trenc, require onboard catering on your yacht. If you're unsure which route to choose, simply give us a call or send us a message – we'd be happy to advise you.
What time does a day charter begin and end?
A day charter lasts 8 hours and usually starts at 10:00 (ends at 18:00), 10:30 (ends at 18:30) or 11:00 (ends at 19:00).
Are half-day charter flights offered?
During the shoulder seasons, some day charter yachts offer the option of half-day charters (4 hours). Please contact us for more information. During peak season, half-day charters are only available if the boat is not booked for the following day.
How much fuel should be planned for a day charter?
Fuel consumption varies considerably from yacht to yacht and depends primarily on your chosen route. The vessel's speed and the weather on the day of your charter also play a significant role. Upon request, we can provide you with an estimate for your chosen yacht and route.
How do you book a day charter yacht?
Please let us know what type of yacht you are looking for, how many people will be in your party, and your preferred dates, and we will send you our available offers that match your requirements. If you decide on one of the options, please inform us as soon as possible and send us a copy of your ID and billing address so we can prepare the contract for you. Once the contract is signed by you and the other relevant parties, a deposit is due to secure the charter date. For some day charter yachts, the deposit is 50% of the charter price excluding extras; for others, full payment is required to secure the date. You will receive full details of the payment requirements as part of the contract.
What is the payment method for a day charter?
The deposit is due after signing the contract, ideally via bank transfer to the account specified in the contract. For payments from the UK or USA, where international transfers can sometimes be challenging, we provide links for credit card payments with major credit cards (excluding Amex). Payments due on-site at check-in can be made with major credit cards (excluding Amex). Fuel can be paid for directly at the petrol station by credit card or cash.
What is included in the charter fee?
The charter fee includes boat rental, insurance, and local VAT. Crew and final cleaning are included on some boats, while on others these are listed as mandatory extras. You can find this information on our website, in our offers, and on the charter contract. Towels and some soft drinks are included on some yachts, but not on others; we will inform you in advance. Many yachts can accommodate additional watersports equipment, which is listed as an optional extra and can be booked upon request. Fuel (charged according to consumption) and crew gratuities are not included on any yacht.
Is it customary to tip the crew?
Yes, tipping the crew is customary, and the amount of the tip depends on your satisfaction with the charter.
What is an APA and how does it work?
Some of the larger day charter yachts operate with an APA (Advanced Provisioning Allowance) to cover incidental expenses, payable by credit card or cash upon embarkation. This primarily covers fuel and food costs. All bills are collected by the crew and presented to you, and any remaining balance is promptly refunded. Please refer to your contract for further details.
What is a security deposit and how does it work?
A security deposit is required upon check-in in the morning, either at our office for yachts departing from Port Adriano or directly on board the yacht. The deposit amount varies depending on the yacht. This deposit is intended to cover any damage to the boat for which guests are responsible.
How can I order catering and drinks?
We work with a number of partners who will deliver drinks, snacks, and catering to your yacht before your charter. We will send you the order forms during the booking process and are happy to coordinate your orders. Payment is made directly to our partners.
Can guests bring their own food and drinks on board?
Yes, of course. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and food on board the yachts. If possible, please use plastic bottles and containers instead of glass ones to prevent damage to the boat if they fall and break.
What water sports equipment can be booked as an add-on for day charter yachts?
In the brochures for our yachts, you will find an overview of the included watersports equipment. In addition, Seabobs, paddleboards, Fliteboards, and much more can be added to most of our yachts. Just ask, and we'll send you a list of the available options.
What happens if the charter has to be cancelled due to bad weather?
During peak season, bad weather is rare in Mallorca. However, should it not be possible to conduct the day trip and your captain decides to cancel the charter for safety reasons, we will do our best to find an alternative date. If this is not possible, you will receive a refund.
