Day berths in the Balearic Islands
Reserving guest berths in the Balearic Islands varies depending on the port. Many yacht clubs and private marinas often only accept bookings for day berths at very short notice – sometimes only on the same day and depending on availability. To make a successful reservation, it is necessary to contact the respective port directly by phone or radio.
Here is an overview of the most popular ports in Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera:

Additionally, it is possible to book a guest berth online in one of the 12 state-owned ports of the Balearic Islands via the official PortsIB portal (see below).
Buoy fields in the Balearic Islands
To protect underwater flora, state-run mooring buoy fields have been established in an increasing number of bays in the Balearic Islands. These buoys now require a fee and must be reserved in advance – also via the PortsIB system.
State-owned buoy fields are located in:
- Mallorca: Sa Dragonera / Sant Elm, Cala Blava, Formentor
- Menorca: Cala Fornells, Illa d'en Colom
- Ibiza / Formentera: Caló de s'Oli, Ses Salines, S'Espalmador

To make a reservation, you will also need a yacht-specific code, which you must apply for online. This requires information about the yacht, the owner, as well as insurance and registration documents. If you are using a charter yacht, you will receive this code directly from your charter company.
Buoy reservation in the Cabrera Nature Reserve
A unique feature is the mooring field in the Cabrera nature reserve. Reservations are not made through PortsIB, but via a separate system. Moorings are available there for yachts up to 35 meters in length.
