THE ARCHBISHOP’S SUMMER RESIDENCE

Sukosan has a long history as an attractive tourist destination, as the Palac testifies. The walls of the ruins rise majestically out of the clear waters of the bay. In the 15th century, the church had the palace built on an artificial island. The imposing building could not withstand the elements and attacks. Nevertheless, it presents a picturesque sight at sunset. No wonder the palace is the landmark of Sukosan.

PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK

Panoramic photographs from the Plitvice Lakes National Park make travel guides of Croatia a colourful illustrated book. Almost unreal, the forces of nature formed this untouched spot on earth. Waterfalls merge into rushing streams, which in turn create enchanted bathing resorts. Hiking, swimming and marvelling: there is something for everyone to enjoy.
