Reservations – moorings and buoys

Balearic Islands moorings and buoys Reservations

DAILY BERTHS:

The reservation of guest berths is regulated differently on the Balearic Islands and varies from harbour to harbour. Many clubs and private harbours only accept guest bookings at very short notice, sometimes only on the same day and subject to availability. It is therefore necessary to contact these harbours by telephone or radio to enquire about current availability.

You can find an overview of the most popular harbours in the Balearic Islands here: https://www.marina-balear.com/haefen.html

Another option for booking guest berths is in one of the 12 state harbours via the PortsIB portal (see below)

BOJES:

More and more bays in the Balearic Islands are being fitted with buoys to protect the underwater flora. There are a total of state-managed buoy fields around the Balearic Islands. All of them are now subject to a fee and can be booked via the PortsIB portal.

  • MALLORCA: Sa Dragonera/Sant Elm, Cala Blava, Formentor
  • MENORCA: Cala Fornells, Illa den Colom
  • IBIZA/FORMENTERA: Caló de s’Oli, Ses Salines, S’Espalmador

Booking of state-managed harbours and buoys:

Here you will find an overview of the harbours and buoys that can be booked via PortsIB: https://reservas.portsib.es/reservas/es/

To book such a berth or buoy, it is first necessary to register on the portal. A yacht-specific code must also be entered for the actual reservation. This can be applied for online via the same website, whereby data on the yacht and owner – as well as insurance and licence documents – must be stored (uploaded). For charter yachts, you can obtain this code from your charter company.

Registration takes place via the following website: https://reservas.portsib.es/reservas/es/accounts/login/. (Instructions: https://reservas.portsib.es/reservas/media/idiomas/es/MANUAL_XARTER.pdf )

CABRERA NATURE RESERVE:

An exception is the reservation of a buoy for overnight stays in the Cabrera nature reserve. This buoy field is managed separately and can therefore be booked via a different system.

Buoys are available for yachts up to a maximum length of 35 metres. Buoys must be reserved from 20 days before the desired date and can be booked for a maximum of 2 consecutive nights: https://intranet.caib.es/rescabfront/mostrarForm?ID_INSTANCIA=8dae46a08ce46cbd69404a4d54ef3973

If you only want to visit Cabrera during the day, you can apply for a visit permit that is valid for 1 year: https://intranet.caib.es/rescabfront/mostrarForm?ID_INSTANCIA=e06d2b4c112d317c6009424e175e7c47
